Blithchron, the annual cultural fest of IIT-Gandhinagar, held around the month of January every year is one of the most awaited college cultural fests in West India witnessed a footfall of 25,000 students from colleges all around India. Blithchron has witnessed an exponential inflation in footfall from 1000 to 25000 in 7 years. Blithchron imputes a euphoric atmosphere by seamlessly bringing together the eccentric young minds of the country.
Blithchron is derived from the words BLITHE- CHRONOS meaning "time of festivity". Blithchron was kick-start by the maiden batch of IITGN. Blithchron's influence on colleges is flourishing with each passing year. The shimmering lights and the ear deafening sound of Blithchron gives one of it's kind experience each time.
Events are the base upon which the entire fest is built. Entertaining and exciting events add flavour to any fest. Blithchron'16 has a line-up of some of the most exciting events this year. Along with the flagship events, we introduce some of the awesome-est and the most breathtaking events which have never been played in the whole of India before. Blithchron is being held this year at IIT Gandhinagar, which is located at the banks of Sabarmati river at Palaj, Gandhinagar. It is situated at a distance of approximately 25 km from Ahmedabad Airport and 30 km from Ahmedabad Junction (Kalupur Railway Station). Palaj is situated at a distance of 7 km away from Gandhinagar Akshardham Temple and at a distance of 5 km. from a place called Lekawada Patiya.
